DSS Withdraws Security Aides from Saraki & Dogara with Immediate Effect

An unconfirmed report by The Cable claims that The Department of State Security Services on Sunday recalled half its security aides attached to the Senate President Bukola Saraki and its counterpart at the Lower House, Yakubu Dogora.
This is coming at the heels of Monday taiks between the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the nPDP team led by Dogara.
Saraki and Dogara are both members of the nPDP who broke away from PDP in 2013 to form alliance with APC to oust former President Jonathan.
The report said that no reason was given for the recall of the aides of the two Principals of the National Assembly “with immediate effect”, which it undertsood was at the instance of the Presidency.
The Monday meeting between the Vice President and the nPDP is believed to be in response to the alleged marginalization of the nPDP by the ruling APC.
Rumour has it that the nPDP will defect from the APC and present a candidate against President Buhari in 2019.
